China’s Nansha Marina maintains Gold Status

The President of the Marina Industries Association (MIA) Mr Andrew Chapman CMM has presented Commodore Mr Eric Fok of Nansha Marina in Guangzhon China with Gold Anchor re- accreditation at a ceremony held during the Nansha Bay International Boat Show 15-18 October.

Mr Chapman said Nansha Marina can be justifiably proud to have retained its five Gold Anchor rating. “Nansha Marina is the highest level 5 Gold Anchor marina due to its excellent infrastructure, facilities and services. The owners and staff have obviously worked hard to ensure the experience for marina users is first rate. The land side infrastructure is of a very high standard and the docks are well maintained and serviced to the satisfaction of the boat users.” Nansha Marina includes 136 floating berths, a hardstand serviced by a 75 tonne travel lift and high class dining and lounge facilities.

Commodore Fok said “It was an honour for Nansha Marina to have once again re-validated for the 5 Gold Anchor Award. We are always committed in providing excellent services and facilities for our members and the boating community at large.”

Mr Chapman said the independent audit of the marina highlighted its strength across the 10 audit assessment areas including marina design and construction and land facilities and services.

The MIA delivers Gold Anchor accreditation exclusively across the Asian region. The Gold Anchor Rating Scheme has been devised to encourage the development of service standards at marinas and to promote the benefits of Gold Anchor rated marinas to the boating public.
